NON-VERBAL or MINIMALLY-VERBAL CHILDREN
I CAN TALK (for Children with ASDs, PDDs, and Down Syndrome)
This program, designed to address the functional communication of children with various communicative and developmental disorders, meets the increasing need of these children to develop spoken language in their everyday situation. I CAN TALK employs an eclectic and multi-disciplinary approach (comprising of individual and group therapy, and sensory integration/oral-sensory motor therapy) to help these children achieve their maximum communicative potential.
HEARING IMPAIRMENT
HEAR in SINGAPORE (Aural Program for the Hearing Impaired/Cochlear Implantee)
The primary aim of this program is to help individuals fitted with auditory devices succeed in mainstream society.
HEAR in SINGAPORE uses techniques from various approaches especially auditory-verbal (http://www.auditory-verbal.org), auditory-oral and effective speech therapy strategies to suit individual needs. HEAR in SINGAPORE is proud and boasts of its involvement in habilitating Singapore 's first children with BILATERAL COCHLEAR implants (CI) . It is the first and only private setting in Singapore , which sees individuals with CI from many parts of the world.
