Jonalyn Esquivel earned a Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology from the University of the Philippines and has devoted her clinical practice to the pediatric speech and language field. She was a consultant speech therapist to the Healing Touch Clinic and Shine Intervention Center, both in the Philippines. For the past three years, she was the Chief Speech Therapist for the Alternative Learning Resource School (ALRES-Philippines). To share her clinical expertise, Jona was concurrently a Clinical Supervisor to affiliated Speech Pathology students from the University of the Philippines. She has also worked with families of children with Autism in Jakarta, Indonesia previously for a couple of years.

Jona was trained in the Philippines and Indonesia on auditory-verbal therapy, apraxia and visual strategies to enable children with communication problems. Her clinical services include clinic-based treatment focusing on children with speech delay, motor-speech disorders, various pediatric oral-sensory motor and feeding / swallowing problems, genetic syndromes/chromosomal disorders, craniofacial disorders, autism, hearing impairment, learning disabilities, hearing auditory /language processing deficits (APD), and ADHD.

Jona is a staunch advocate of strong family and school involvement in intervention; thus she has provided numerous training programmes for parents, teachers and caregivers. Her core workshop topics are on language stimulation, assessment and speech therapy strategies. She also works closely with various professionals, including developmental-behavioral pediatricians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, mainstream and special education teachers.

She conducts speech and language assessments, individual speech therapy sessions and home- intervention programs for children.

She is conversant in English and Tagalog languages.
