Liza Baccay graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology from the University of the Philippines – Manila, College of Allied Medical Professions in 1992. Since then, Liza has thoroughly enjoyed 15 years of hospital, centre and school based speech pathology practice. Aside from a private clinical practice, she was a consultant to a pediatric therapy center, a transition education school and a non-government organization in Cebu City, Philippines. She has also worked with adults with post-cerebral vascular accidents and aphasia at the Cebu Doctor’s University Hospital, Velez General Hospital and Cebu Community Hospital.

Liza has also lectured to the occupational and physical therapy students of the Cebu Doctor’s University and Velez College’s School of Rehabilitation Sciences. She has likewise conducted seminars to parents and teachers on various topics in speech pathology. She also lends her services to various outreach programmes, and is a regular volunteer with Operation Smile International.

Liza’s clinical services include clinic-based treatment (speech and language assessments and followed-up appropriate speech and language intervention programs) focused on children with speech delay, motor-speech and phonological disorders, various pediatric oral-sensory motor problems, Cerebral Palsy, Down’s Syndrome, Autism, Global Developmental Delay, hearing impairment, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, hearing auditory /language processing deficits (APD), articulation problems and ADHD.

She has also obtained a Master in Business Administration from the Ateneo de Manila Graduate School of Business (Regis Programme). She is especially interested in organizational development and strategic management for growing businesses.

She is conversant in English, Tagalog and Visayan.
