About Clara

Dear All,

Our daughter Clara underwent a surgery to receive a cochlear implant. Since then, she follows an Auditory-verbal Therapy in English with the therapist and in French at home. She also has been going to the French school of Singapore since September ‘03. As a result Clara starts to speak French, knows many words and is able to converse through the phone with her grandparents. Her language level is almost in line with a child of her age, we're very proud of her.

On our side we don’t realize that she’s profoundly deaf; only a battery problem or a shower (the device is not waterproof) are there to remind it to us. She shows more & more her character and is really fond of dolls & babies. She makes her own stories, takes care of them in every detail and treats them as real… a clear message to us?!

During these past two years, either in the short or long term, all of you have helped us and supported us. You are the crucial people who contributed (or are still contributing) to Clara's promising results and we want to share her success with you. So from us, and mainly on her behalf, please be assured of our profound Gratitude.

Thank you, thank you and thank you again! A special thank to Vasu, our therapist & friend, for his constant support during those 2 years.

Kind regards

Clara, Maryline & David
