Susan Goh graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor in Speech Pathology, Flinders University of South Australia. She has more than a decade of working experience at the special school and hospital settings.

Having worked as a special education teacher at the Towner Garden School, MINDS for about eight years, Susan went on to further her studies in speech-language pathology. Following that, she started working as a speech therapist at Towner Gardens School, seeing children age ranging from pre-school to 17 years of age. She assessed, diagnosed, and treated congenital and acquired paediatric communication delays and disorders. Later years, she also moved to serve the various local, major hospitals to treat paediatric and adult patients.

Her clinical services include clinic-based treatment focusing on paediatric and adult communication disorders, dysphagia (neurogenic, geriatric, Head and Neck), voice disorders, rehabilitation of laryngectomees, co-run voice clinics with laryngologist, inpatient and outpatient services children with speech delay, motor-speech disorders, various pediatric oral-sensory motor and feeding/ swallowing problems, genetic syndromes/chromosomal disorders, craniofacial disorders, and autism.

She also conducts clinical supervision of junior therapists and student attachments and run community voice seminars in the hospitals, schools and in clinic.

Another area of her specialty involves voice management, vocal rehabilitation and managing voice disorders. She is frequently being invited to present voice workshops to the therapists, singers and to teachers.

Susan is also trained in Hanen, PROMPT, and the Sarah-Rosenfeld’s Oral-Motor approaches.

Susan is conversant in English, Mandarin and other Chinese dialects.
